I accept full liability and expressly indemnify the Kalahari Hunters Association from any legal liability regarding any injury, loss, or damage that may arise from my (as well as the persons accompanying me to the shooting range) actions or failure to act during our visit and use of the shooting range.

Range Rules:

All members and visitors must adhere to these rules at all times.

• All users of the shooting range must possess a valid competency certificate and/or firearm license.
• Always keep your firearm's barrel pointed in a safe direction away from people.
• Always keep your finger off the trigger until you intend to shoot.
• Always keep your weapon pointed at the target and ensure you know what is behind your target.
• Always keep your firearm in its bag/case/holster when not at the firing point.
• Always treat all weapons as if they are loaded.
• Always be aware of the condition of your firearm.
• No alcohol/drugs allowed on the shooting range.
• Use target frames as provided. Remove your personal targets and frames from the shooting range after shooting.
• Remove your casings from the firing point after shooting.
• Shooting at cans, bottles, and stones is prohibited.
• No unauthorized persons are allowed on the shooting range.
• Only members of the association and persons who have pre-arranged to use the range are allowed. A Non-Member can use the range, provided he is accompanied by a member and his R50 visitor fee has been paid. A member will be responsible for any Non-Members or Spectators who visit the range with him and use the facility.
• Use only designated firing points.
• Children are only allowed on the shooting range under adult supervision.
• Keep firearms out of reach of children.
• Ensure all red flags and signs are in place when using the shooting range.
• If you hear the command "CEASE FIRE!", immediately make your weapon safe.
• By law, there must always be a range officer present when using the range. A member who wants to use the range must arrange for his own range officer. A list of range officers with contact numbers is available from the KJV secretary.
• If a member opens the gate for someone else to use the range, that member will be responsible for any damage or claims that may arise from that group's use of the range.
• Members can request to buy a shooting range key. That key then becomes the property of the member. At the beginning of each year, the lock will be replaced, and members can then buy a new key for the next 12 months. If a member loses his key, he can buy another key, at the same price as the first one. Members must still arrange with the secretary (by phone or in person) to unlock his phone number to open the electric gate.
